Getting started
DropLink creates shareable checkout links for your Shopify store. A buyer who clicks your link lands in a pre-filled Shopify checkout — products, quantities, subscription plans, and discounts already applied. No storefront page required.
1. Create your first link
From the DropLink dashboard in your Shopify admin, click Create link.
- Title — an internal name (e.g. "Summer sale Instagram"). Buyers never see it.
- Products — pick from your store with the native product picker.
- Selling plan — if the product has subscription plans, choose one and the link checks the buyer out as a subscriber. This works on every plan, including Free — it's the thing Shopify's own cart permalinks can't do.
- Discount code (Starter+) — auto-applied at checkout.
- UTM parameters (Starter+) — attached to the checkout for your analytics.
- Order note (Starter+) — appears on the resulting Shopify order.
- Scheduling (Starter+) — set when the link starts working and when it expires, in the timezone of your choice (your store's by default).
- Order limit (Starter+) — cap a link to a set number of completed orders; it shows a "fully claimed" page after that. Set it to 1 for a single-use or gift link.
You can also start from a past order — Create from order on the Links page prefills a link with that order's items (Starter+), ready for selling plans.
You'll get a short URL like https://go.zerglo.com/abc1234 and a downloadable
QR code. On Starter and up you can brand the QR with your own colors and a
center logo, and export it as a print-ready SVG.
2. Share it anywhere
The short link works wherever you can paste text: Instagram bios, email campaigns, SMS, YouTube descriptions, podcast show notes — or print the QR code on packaging, flyers, and event signage.
3. Track what happens
Every click is recorded (with the visitor's IP hashed, never stored raw). The Analytics page shows clicks and unique visitors per link; on Starter and above, orders are attributed back to the exact link that drove them, with revenue totals and conversion rates — split into subscription vs one-time so you can see which links recruit subscribers.
Link statuses
| Status | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Active | Redirects buyers and records clicks |
| Paused | Returns a branded "link not found" page; data preserved |
| Archived | Same as paused; hidden from the default dashboard view |
Pausing or archiving never deletes your analytics history.
